CCTV News:"I’ve been infected myself. You see I’m fine now and I’m still taking care of you. Have confidence and you will definitely get better! " She is a nurse in the emergency center of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. She stuck to the front line of the "epidemic" and was unfortunately infected. The day after she was discharged from hospital, she returned to the front line.

Be infected during the treatment of patients
After the outbreak of novel coronavirus, 38-year-old Guo Qin has been taking care of critically ill patients in the emergency ward, helping many novel coronavirus patients turn the corner. On January 12, when I got home from the night shift, Guo Qin felt that she had a fever. I took my temperature, 37.8℃.
"I may have been infected. On the first day, it was a little cold, and I didn’t have a high fever. On the second day, my body temperature was high, up to 39 C, and my whole body was painful, especially joint pain. I had a fever before, but I didn’t have such obvious symptoms. Repeatedly burning, burning to 39 C and returning, and then burning again after returning, so I think I should go to the hospital at this time. " At noon on January 13th, Guo Qin came to his unit, Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University for inspection. Guo Qin’s lung CT showed ground glass shadow in the lung. Colleagues in the hospital quickly went through the admission procedures for Guo Qin and isolated him.

While waiting for the results of nucleic acid test, Guo Qin also prepared for the worst. "I was particularly embarrassed at home. I usually spend most of my time in the department and spend less time at home. My child is only 11 years old, and there was less companionship before. If something bad happens later, there will be less companionship, and my heart will be particularly embarrassed. "
I hope to return to work as soon as possible when I am ill
On January 13th, Guo Qin was diagnosed in novel coronavirus. Because the situation was not serious, he mainly rested in the isolation area and also received some antiviral and antibacterial drugs. Guo Qin became the first infected medical staff in Central South Hospital. She was placed in bed 6 in the emergency ward, which is also her usual working position.
On the day when he was admitted to the hospital isolation ward, Guo Qin stayed awake all night. The drip of the monitoring instrument and the hurried footsteps of his partner were particularly clear in the silent night.
"My colleagues came to care for me that day. Actually, they were very embarrassed. They were very busy. I can’t walk around, I need water, and I don’t want to bother them too much. " There are 54 nurses in the emergency center where Guo Qin is located, and the mode of "three shifts" is adopted. Under normal circumstances, there are three nurses in the day shift and two nurses in the evening shift, each of whom works for about 8 hours a day.
With the increasing number of patients with fever, the emergency center has gradually extended the overtime hours, and the average daily working hours are about 10 hours. According to the duty table of the emergency center, the night shift on January 13th should have been performed by Guo Qin and his apprentice Liao Mingxing. Liao Mingxing is a post-90s boy and one of the few male nurses in the hospital. The epidemic accelerated the growth of Liao Mingxing. That night, he not only took on the task of nursing Guo Qin, but also took over the vacancy of Guo Qin.

Looking at the busy figure of colleagues, Guo Qin had only one thought at that time: "If I recover and my body is OK, I hope to get into work immediately."
"Not to be a hero, but never to be a deserter!"
On January 27th, Guo Qin returned to the hospital for a test. According to the results of blood, nucleic acid and CT, experts concluded that Guo Qin had recovered. From the diagnosis on January 13 to the return to the hospital for examination on January 27, Guo Qin’s isolation period was 14 days. Without taking an extra day off at home, Guo Qin went back to the hospital the next day (January 28) and devoted himself to his work.
"My father didn’t want me to go. Before I left, he was a little unhappy and didn’t want to talk to me. Soon after, I saw that he praised me for being brave in the family group and called on my family to cheer for me. I know that he is proud of me. " Guo Qin was a bit sour when he mentioned this. "I am in this position, it is my responsibility, not to be a hero, but never to be a deserter!"

On the first day of returning to work, it was the police who sent Guo Qin to work. "At that time, the road was closed. A policeman saw me and learned that I was a medical staff. He drove me to the hospital. After getting off the bus, he saluted me and said to me ‘ We need you. Take care and come on ’ 。”
What makes Guo Qin feel most gratified is that a novel coronavirus patient who was treated by colleagues two weeks ago also recovered and was discharged on the same day.
In order to facilitate commuting and reduce contact with his family, Guo Qin now lives near the hospital, and the contact with his family depends on mobile video. As a close contact, Guo Qin’s family was not infected.
"When the epidemic is over, we can meet." She said, "everything makes me firmly believe that we will succeed!" " (Text/Di Chenchen)
