"In recent years, with the continuous increase of car ownership in the city, car consumption has entered an era of equal emphasis on increment and stock from the era of incremental market, and there is huge market space for car scrapping and replacement." The relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce said that from January to April 2024, the sales of generalized passenger cars in the city were 139,000, up 7.0% year-on-year, of which 58,000 were new energy vehicles, up 35.6% year-on-year, and the market penetration rate reached 41.5%.
According to reports, the application time of this subsidy is from 0: 00 on May 21, 2024 to 24: 00 on October 31, 2024, and the subsidy funds are used up or the policy expires.
The subsidy object must meet the following five conditions at the same time: first, individual consumers; Second, from 0: 00 on May 21, 2024 to 24: 00 on October 31, 2024, I sold and transferred the old passenger cars (including new energy vehicles and fuel vehicles) registered in my name on or before May 20, 2024 nationwide, and purchased new energy passenger cars from automobile sales enterprises within the jurisdiction of Chongqing; The third is to fulfill the obligation of tax declaration for new car purchases and improve the procedures for household registration in accordance with the regulations throughout the country within the applicable time of subsidies; Fourth, the individual consumer who sells used cars must be the same person as the individual consumer who buys new cars; Fifth, according to the procedure, the declaration was successfully made and the examination requirements were complete and true.
Those who meet the subsidy conditions shall voluntarily declare according to the relevant requirements of the subsidy application materials and the fixed reporting channels, and after passing the examination according to the procedures, each car with a bare car price of less than 200,000 yuan (referring to the total amount of price and tax on the Uniform Invoice for Motor Vehicle Sales, the same below) will be given a subsidy of 2,000 yuan, and each car with a bare car price of 200,000 yuan or more will be given a subsidy of 3,000 yuan, which will be paid in cash to the bank card of the object who meets the subsidy conditions. The fund scale of this round of subsidy policy is 20 million yuan, which will be paid according to the principle of "purchase first and make up first", and the policy will stop when the funds are used up or the declaration expires.

For those applicants who meet the subsidy conditions, the subsidy funds will be distributed within 15 working days after the online examination and approval.
At the same time, in order to effectively play the role of policy instigation and amplify the effect of subsidy policy, the Municipal Commission of Commerce will also widely mobilize automobile dealers, automobile manufacturers, banking and financial institutions, platform enterprises and districts and counties to follow up and introduce supporting measures to jointly promote automobile consumption.
