The installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation in China has exceeded 300 million kilowatts.

Cctv newsAccording to the website of the National Energy Administration, according to statistics, the installed capacity of new photovoltaic power generation in China in 2021 was about 53 million kilowatts, ranking first in the world for nine consecutive years. By the end of 2021, the installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation has reached 306 million kilowatts, breaking through the 300 million kilowatts mark and ranking first in the world for seven consecutive years. In the first year of the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan", photovoltaic power generation construction achieved new breakthroughs and presented new characteristics.

First, distributed photovoltaics reached 107.5 million kilowatts, exceeding 100 million kilowatts, accounting for about one-third of the total installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation.

Second, among the newly-added grid-connected photovoltaic power generation installations, distributed photovoltaic power generation has increased by about 29 million kilowatts, accounting for about 55% of all newly-added photovoltaic power generation installations, exceeding 50% for the first time in history, and the development trend of centralized and distributed photovoltaic power generation is obvious.

Third, among the newly added distributed photovoltaics, household photovoltaics exceeded 10 million kilowatts for the first time in 2020, and exceeded 20 million kilowatts in 2021, reaching about 21.5 million kilowatts. Household photovoltaic has become an important force for China to achieve the goal of peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality as scheduled and to implement the rural revitalization strategy.
